Babe's HH Electric DC Motor with Spinpower 1380 Controller

1. Take parts out of box and put on the table.
2. Put base in front of you like in picture.
3. Hang the drive band over the rear bearing tube.
4. Put a Standard bobbin on the flyer and put in place.
5. Put the leather brake over the orifice tube of the flyer like in picture.
6. Put drive band on the pulley of the motor and the whorl of the bobbin.
7. Use the Velcro tape to put some tension on the drive band to keep it from coming off of the whorls.  Warning to not make it to tight as it will be hard on the motor.
8. Plug the green cord on the motor into the green cord coming from the controller.
9. Plug the Spinpower controller into 110 Volt electricity.
10. With speed control knob turned all the way to the left turn on the on switch.  Start turning the speed control to the right and note which way the bobbin is turning.  If it going to the left which is for plying turn it off and if you want to spin, push the direction switch to the other side and turn on.  The bobbin should be going to the right.
11. Put a 4 to 6 foot leader on the bobbin.Take it through the sliding ring, outside the cup hook and out the orifice using the orifice hook.
12. Now you are ready to start spinning.  Turn on and turn up the speed control so it starts turning the flyer and connect the leader to the fiber and keep turning the speed control up until you get to the speed you want to spin at.  To move the slider turn off and move the slider. Next turn back on and you will be going at the right speed.  You need to get up to 35 to turn on the air cooling fan on the bottom of the controller.  If you run below 35 very long the Controller might get hot.
13. Have a great time and a productive time along with fun spinning fibers into yarn.
